Dan hasil penelitian dari USA , The Tampon Safety and Research Act of 1999, H. R. 890, U.S.A (Kongres Amerika 1999):
Setelah membacanya, saya jadi dilema. Ga nyaman rasanya. Apalagi kalau sedang banyak-banyaknya.
Nah, solusinya...? Yaa tetap aja pake pembalut, tapi harus sering ganti ya, at least sehabis buang air kecil atau BAB. Atau atur waktunya, kalau pagi pakai yang baru, siangnya ganti jam 12, trus mau pulang kantor ganti lagi, supaya dijalan nyaman. Nanti ganti lagi setelah mandi sore, mau tidur ganti lagi. Gitu aja...
Ga perlu cuci-cuci jemur-jemur, dan bagian kewanitaan kita tetap bersih dan terjaga.
OK...

DRIVE GREENER - Save gasoline and money.
20% of all the earth's greenhouse gases is released from automobile exhaust, contibuting to air pollution and global warming.
Producing a single car releases into the air 4 tons of CO2 and 318 kg of other air pollutans.
How can you make your driving grener ?
MAINTENANCE regularly engine maintenance increase gas consumption by 25%
DRIVE SMART & EFFICIENTLY less driving means fewer emissions, every 1 liter of gasoline saved keeps 2.4 kg of CO2 out of the atmosphere. Walk, ride a bicycle, carpool, or take public transportation more often increasing speed from 100 km/h to 120 km/h increase gas consumption by 20%, planning ahead your route and time helps save gasoline and money.
GO EASY ON AIR CONDITIONER, air conditioning increase gas consumption by 20%, use air conditioner only as needed.
REDUCE IDLING, turn-off the engine, idling wastes gasoline and money
DRIVE SMOOTHLY, driving at a constant speed saves gasoline and money, avoid sudden acceleration and hard braking
CHECK TIRE PRESSURE REGULARLY, properly inflated tires are safer to use and help improve gas consumption by more than 3% for accurate results, measure tire pressure when the tires are cold.

SAVE YOUR WATER BILLS
Water is earth's most precious and non-renewable resource.
Each shower uses 80-220 liters of water.
Turning off the water while soaping and shampooing uses only 11.5 liters of water.
every two minutes of less shower saves up to 38 liters of water.
Each toilet flush uses 6-27 liters of water.
Dual flush toilet saves up to 200-310 liters of water a day.
A leaking toilet wastes up to 340.000 liters of water a month.
Turning off the faucet while brushing your teeth saves up to 23 liters of water each day dripping faucet wastes up to 76 liters of water a day.
TURN OFF THE WATER WHEN YOU'RE NOT USING IT !!!

REDUCE AIR CONDITIONER (AC) USAGE !!!
AC accounts for 16% of your electric bill. Setting the temperature 2 degree warmer saves on your electric bill. Clean your AC once every 3-6 months. Buy energy efficient AC. Whenever possible, keep cool without AC: Strategically PLANTING TREES around the house reduces AC needs by 30%-58%; Opening Opposite and windows to pull out air through the house improves cross ventilation; Block sunlight during hot hours of the day with Awnings, Blinds, OR Curtains; USE FANS, which use only 3% of electricity, to move air throughout the house.
USE REFRIGERATOR WISELY :
Refrigerator accounts for 15%-20% of your electric bill and it's the BIGGEST ENERGY-CONSUMING kitchen appliance in a home, almost 5 times than the average television. Ideal fridge temperature is 2.5deg C to 4.5deg C, Ideal freezer temperature is -18deg C to -15deg C. 10deg C cooler than the ideal settings uses 25% more electricity. Placing refrigerator away from heat source and closing the doors quickly saves electricity.

REPLACE YOUR LIGHT BULBS
CONSERVE ENERGY
Incandescent bulbs : up to 90% electricity wasted as HEAT, only 10% is visible light.
Compact Florescent light bulbs (CFLs)
only use 25% - 40% as much energy than incandescent bulbs last 10 - 15 times longer and release 70% less heat
Light Emitting Diodes light bulbs (LED)
only use 10% - 25% as much energy than incandescent bulbs last 100 times longer and release minimal heat
REDUCE GLOBAL WARMING :
Turn off the lights when you leave the room, use only as much light as you need.

SAVE ELECTRICITY
DID YOU KNOW ?
40% of your home's electronic energy is used while your electronic device are turned off, adding up to 10% of your electric bill ?
This is caused by 'phantom power' sucking electricity from the wall socket.
Many electronic devices, appliances, power tools, cell phone chargers, and other gadgets draw power even when they're on standby, switched off or not in use, just being plugged in.
HOW DO YOU SAVE ?
Unplug devices when not in use or plug all devices into a power strip, then turn off the power strip with a single switch.

Save the Trees :
Use Less Paper Products !!!
Paper Manufacturing is the 3rd largest user of fossil fuels worldwide.
7 Million Trees cut down every year just to make disposable tissues.
On average, a person uses 6 tissues a day, 2.200 a year.
Use 1 less tissue a day, save 430.000.000 kg of paper waste.
8.000.000.000 ATM receipts a year = more than 608.000.000 meters of paper = circling the earth more than 15 times.
An average family uses 6 trees worth of paper a year.
6 rims of A4 paper = recycling 54 kg of newspaper = 1 tree
GIVE TREES A CHANCE !!!
How can you help ? :
- print both sides ?
- print only what's needed
- use paper only when needed
- reuse & recycle papers
- use less gift wrappings

PLANT A TREE !!!
Half the world's forests have already been cleared or burned, and 80% of the remaining have been seriously degraded. HElp reduce global warming!, Planting trees is the most effective and one of the cheapest ways for you to help balance the CO2 you generate daily. WHY SHOULD YOU PLANT A TREE ?
A single tree absorbs about 1 ton of CO2 during its lifetime, provides shade and releases water vapor, lowering air temperature and cooling the earth surface. Every tree reduces the greenhouse effect by giving off oxygen during photosynthesis and absorbing up to 60% of CO2 and other air pollutants.
Every tree provides oxygen enough for 3 people to breath. A tree reduces topsoil erosion by capturing rainfall in its crown to slow down water run-off. Trees in forests store 50% of the world's carbon. Trees also reduce 50% of urban noise pollution by acting as a buffer.
